customs duties / import taxes
International Shipments outside the United Kingdom may be subject to customs duties and taxes.
For US-bound items, the duty rate is likely to be 4-7% of
the final sale price. Exceptions include items with a final sale price below $800, or antiques over 100 years old - which typically have a duty rate of 0%.
When goods are not shipped domestically (within your country or within a single customs union, such as the European Union, you are responsible for any inbound duties and taxes which your local customs authority deems appropriate.
Applicable duties and taxes are calculated at the border and based on the nature of the item, final price of the item, and the destination country.
For U.S. import questions please refer to the Customs & Bordern Protection website.
For EU import questions please refer to the European Commission website.
Prior to submitting an international purchase, checkout will advise that any
customs duties and taxes that do apply are your responsibility.
To clear customs, you may also be required to provide
personal information such as your SSN, EIN, IRN, TIN, or EORI.
The shipping carrier will contact you about the required information, declaration, and owed fees which must be paid before delivery of your purchase is scheduled.
Please note that shipping delays due to customs processing are not uncommon.
Although we do not have control over customs delays and are not involved in the determination or collection of these fees, if you have any questions about customs, feel free to contact us.
